The “Food Museum Cellar”, a sensory and experiential exhibition dedicated to Parma wine, its history and culture, has been set up in the evocative underground areas and in the Farnese icebox of the Rocca di Sala Baganza. Viticulture was already present and well developed in Roman times, and it has left important cultural testimonies in the Parma area, as can be seen in the objects, videos, testimonies and archaeological finds collected and preserved here. It starts with the history of the vine and wine in ancient times with amphorae, males and very rare glass glasses and then continues with the history of the barrel and bottle, the label, the cork and corkscrew to the testimonies of famous people and the description of the wealth of wine in the province of Parma. The icehouse will give guests an immersive experience of great charm and charm with a 360 ° “dive” between words, sounds and colors dedicated to wine and its myths.
