Pieve di Tizzano

Pieve di Beduzzo

Pieve di Cozzano

The itinerary ” Between the Mountain Parishes” aims to accompany you along some mountain churches from which you can enjoy tranquility and vast views, thus observing the typical landscapes of the Parma Apennines. The first stage leads to the Pieve di Tizzano, considered one of the Matildic parish churches, one of the many sacred buildings built by the direct will of Countess Matilde di Canossa.

We proceed to the Pieve di Beduzzo, which dominates the hill overlooking the village of the same name. Built on the site where a castle once stood, the church preserves a bell dated 1343, making it the oldest of the entire territory of the Diocese of Parma.

The itinerary ends in the Pieve di Cozzano, perched on the eastern slopes of Monte Pozzo and from which it is possible to observe the bell towers of the parish churches of Sasso and Tizzano.

ADVICES

To get to the parish church of Cozzano, we recommend that you take the road that passes through Case Bergoni, a very scenic road suitable for walkers. You must be very careful along the provincial road, as you walk along the side of the road in a stretch of traffic possibly heavy.
