The Pieve di San Pancrazio Martire is located in San Pancrazio Parmense, a hamlet of the same name in the municipality of Parma along the Via Emilia. The building is located on the ancient route of the Via Francigena and stands on the ancient ruins of a Roman basilica.

The first news of this church is found in a parchment of 1002, which speaks of a meeting of the Chapter of the Cathedral. For many years the church was abandoned until, at the end of the 16th century, it underwent a complete structural and stylistic renewal, which almost completely concealed its original Romanesque features.

The church has a salient facade; the main facade is marked by corner pilasters, trabeation and tympanum above, ending with a cross at the top. The external apse preserves the primitive Romanesque wall structure in river stones and bricks. The interior is based on a basilica with three naves and three apses. The bell tower, grafted on the north side, ends in a cusp with an octagonal pavilion.
