The front part of the Pieve di Malandriano has a gabled façade, probably the oldest part of the building. The entrance portal is proportionally very large compared to the frontal structure. The surface, in stone masonry with irregular courses, has a large window decorated with a plaster frame and surmounted by a round arch lunette.

The structure, with seventeenth-century characteristics is characterized by a single nave and a semicircular apse with a roof with barrel vaults. The first testimonies of the pieve are found in the document of 877 that can be traced back to Bishop Guibodo ”plebe Sancti Martini quae dicitur ad Casale Parencianum”.

Subsequently, the Decimens of 1230 also refer to the Parish Church of Malandriano ”Plebis de Malandriano que sub est domino archipresbitero matricis ecclesie”. The church is dedicated to St. Martin of Tours, known for the legend of his cloak, who, during the period in the Roman army as a soldier met a poor man and, cutting his cloak with the sword, offered it to him.
