INFORMATION ABOUT THE TERRITORY

Sala Baganza offers many historical, artistic and naturalistic attractions: the Rocca Sanvitale, a castle dating back to the mid 1400s with frescoes by Cesare Baglione, Ercole Procaccini and Orazio Samacchini; the Wine Museum inside the cellars of the Rocca tells of wine from archaeology to the Consorzio dei Vini dei Colli si Parma; the Pieve di Talignano – a Romanesque building with original frescoes inside; and finally the Parco dei Boschi di Carrega, a green lung that hides small lakes and eighteenth-century villas.

Collecchio: the Corte di Giarola is home to a number of interesting tourist attractions, the Museum of Pasta and Tomatoes, which allude to the important industry and gastronomic culture of Parma; the Taro River Park, where the paths that run along the river are easily accessible, and the Theatre.
