“Between volcanoes and hams” is a particular itinerary that offers a total immersion in the nature and quiet of the Park of Barboj, between Lesignano de’ Bagni and Traversetolo, a place where you can get lost in long walks and cover yourself with the only soft noises of country life. Particularity of the park is the presence of barboji, small gurgles (or mumbles) that accompany methane gas and mud, released from the subsoil.
Continue in the direction of Langhirano, capital of Parma Ham recognized throughout the world. Here you can visit one of the many ham factories in the area to discover how the famous local sausage is made and delight yourself with a tasting.
After having enraptured the palate, the itinerary ends with a breathtaking view from the Pieve di San Michele Cavana.

Comfortable shoes are recommended for enjoying the scenic trails of the Barboji Park. A pair of binoculars will allow you to observe, without disturbing, the different animal species that populate the area. Leave on an empty stomach to be satisfied with tastings once you arrive in Langhirano, the choice is not lacking! Finally, surrender to the peace that the view of the Parma Valley transmits.
